Abstract

Lymphomas are cancers that originate in lymphocytes within any part of lymphatic system, especially lymph nodes. The two main types of lymphomas are Hodgkin’s lymphomas (HL) and non- Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL).Aim of this retrospective study was to assess mortality and morbidity of lymphomas patients in Oncology Unit, Pediatric Department, Tanta University in 5 years study.We reviewed the records of 27 children with lymphomas treated at Tanta Pediatric Oncology Unit during the period from 2010 to 2014. Patient’s records were searched for demographic data, history details, clinical examination findings, investigations including complete blood count, liver and renal functions, bone marrow examination, immunophenotyping and radiological investigations, treatment courses and reported morbidity and mortality.
