Most of the nocturia is considered as associated condition and thus treated by medications for BPH or overactive bladder (OAB) or such as with ablocker, 5a-reductas inhibitor and antimuscarinics in daily practice.Unfortunately, the response seems to be unsatisfactory. Desmopressin has been proven to be an effective treatment for nocturia alone or in combinations with other drugs as Alpha blockers for years Desmopressin, a synthetic antidiuretic hormone analogue, is currently approved for the treatment of nocturia along with nocturnal polyuria. At present, the first-line medications fornocturia are desmopressin acetate and several different antimuscarinic agents |
