Abstract

The number of skin diseases has been estimated to be as high as 3,000. The several types of skin diseases classified according to nature of the causes to inflammatory skin diseases, Cancerous skin diseases andinfectious skin diseases as viral, bacterial ,fungal and parasitic skin diseases.
There are a lot risk factors that can cause skin diseases include Hypersensitivity or exposure to an allergy causing substance as Certain drugs and vaccines ,Some ingredients in the diet or Insect bites and irritation - flies, ticks, fleas, bees/wasps, mites, etc. also Environment play a role in skin diseases as Chemicals and pesticides, Photosensitization (reaction to the sun) and Burns and frostbite. infectious agents as Fungal, bacterial , viral infections and Internal and external parasite infections can causes the major of skin diseases in the populations.
Profound psychological effects In addition to physical symptoms, Disfiguring skin disease on visible sites such as the face (e.g. acne) can result in loss of self-esteem, depression and poorer job prospects. The quality of life scores for people with skin disease are often worse than those of people with more traditional medical disorders such as angina and hypertension.
