Abstract
Development of antibiotic-alternative approches to disease control and prevention for foodanimals is imperatively needed, an alternative strategy by dietary modulation could be the possible way. The objectives of the present study are 1. Evaluate the growth-promting activity of different dietary supplementations in Japanse quails, 2. Clarify their effects as immunopotentiators on the immune system, including, antimicrobial peptide (HDP), Toll-like receptorsTLR),and tissue integrity, 3.Assess their protective effects aganist different stresses condition, including enterotoxigenic lipoplysaccharide (LPS) and heat stress on quail’s immune system, 4.Assess the ability of dietary supplementations in restoring the hormonal imbalance by different stressescondition, and 5. Clarify the adverse effects of an immunosupressor substance (p-nitrophenol) onhormonal balance and tissue integrity in Japanese quails..
