المستخلص The problem of the present study lies in attempting to find answers to the following questions: 1. Is there a correlation between the probability of suicide and depression, pessimism, psychosis, neurosis, introversion, and extroversion among the students of the University of Eden, Yemen, who are addicted to khat? 2. Does the probability of suicide among the students of the University of Eden, Yemen, who are addicted to khat vary with residence (rural, urban), family socio-economic status (low, average, high), period of khat addiction in years (1-2, 3-4 years or more), number of siblings (1- 4, 5-8 or more), and type of college (theoretical, practical)? 3. Do some psychological variables (depression, pessimism, psychosis, neurosis, introversion, and extroversion) and some demographical variables (residence, family socio-economic status, period of khat addiction, number of siblings, and type of college) contribute to the prediction of the probability of suicide among the students of the University of Eden, Yemen, who are addicted to khat? |
