Abstract

Breast cancer is supposed to be the second most common cause of death after cardiovascular diseases all over the world. .
Given the potential predictive and prognostic value of EPCs in breast cancer, we hypothesized that the level of circulating EPCs in breast cancer patients would correlate to extent of disease.
The aim of this study was to evaluate and correlate the circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) in different stages of breast cancer patients.
The study included 75 newly diagnosed patients with breast cancer females, which were without neo-adjuvent chemotherapy, their ages ranged between 19 and 65 years old. Diagnosis was performed according to clinical, radiological and histo-pathological examination. Twenty age and sex matched healthy females were included as control group.
Twenty age and sex matched healthy females were included as
controls.
Patients were classified into 4 groups.
