Abstract Human activity recognition is an enabling technology for many real –world applications, such as human-computer interaction, video retrieval, surveillance and robotics. In the past decades, it has a great amount of interest in the research community. 3D depth sensors have revolutionized the field of computer vision. Depth sensors have enabled many applications that were not feasible before. Activity recognition becomes a lot easier with depth sensors. Depth sensors record both RGB and depth data. In addition to that, depth sensors provide 3D structural information which helps in recognizing actions and postures. |
