Abstract
Textile Industry has facing a great output waste specially garment industry affecting on any company profit and final performance which need a challenge of changes to keep an acceptable good quality level which considered a company’s image in the market of competition and achieve the highest possible profit level as well, this is a hopeful target to any establishment. This research is focusing on some of repeated faults that considered main reasons of waste in garment industry such as:random layout, waste of transportation, inventory high stock level of material or staff, operators/employees motions, waste of time of any material, over undesired production or over processing with non- value added stages and defects it may happened in products, all briefly said to named (TIMWOOD).In addition to focusing on using a scientific statistical analysis of all observed defects such as : Pareto charts, ANOVA, Spaghetti diagram and cause and effect diagram. Lean helps to improve the quality and reduce defects such as reducing sewing defects by 1.01% and raise marker efficiency by 4% after amend weaved fabric width from 150 cm to 140 cm. Finally, I highly recommend applying lean system tools and principles in all garment industry to improve quality and gain a high profit in addition to keep a good level of competition between the companies involved into this industry in the market.
