Abstract The present study was carried out in El-Gabal Al-Asfar farm in Egypt which irrigated with sewage sludge water since 1928. The sites of soil collection were chosen in fields irrigated for different periods 48, 55 and 75 years by the sewage sludge water. The soil samples were collected at different depths (0-5, 5-30, 30-60 and 60- 90 cm.) during the dry and wet seasons (summer and winter of 2012– 2013). These soil and plant samples were collected from fields cultivated with four crops (Zea mays, Corchorius olitorius, Triticum aestivum and Trifolium alexandrium) along with four weeds (Dinebra retroflexa, Xanthium spinosium, Chicorium intybus and Rumex vesicarius). |
