Abstract The maturity method is a technique to account for the combined effects of time and temperature on the strength development of concrete. This principle can be used to estimate the strength of concrete during construction for administering timing of job control functions such as removal of formwork and restoring, post-tensioning of tendons, termination of cold weather protection and opening of the roadways to traffic based on the maturity index. This practice can be used to estimate strength of laboratory specimens cured under nonstandard temperature conditions. As rare studies dealing with maturity of other cement types expect for PC as well as the influence of using chemical and mineral admixtures on concrete maturity need to be understood. So this investigation is directed to investigate the maturity of different types of cements modified with mineral as well as chemical admixtures. |
