Abstract

This in-vitro study was done to assess the color change occurring in immature permanent teeth undergoing regenerative endodontic procedures with or without the use of a universal adhesive utilizing two different coronal plug materials. Sixty uniformly colored anterior incisors were used.
The teeth were prepared to simulate an immature permanent model, they were then placed on 24 well cell plate. Photographic images were taken of the representative teeth. Then Before procedure spectrophotometric measuring was done. A universal adhesive was used before application of the plug material in two groups and none was used in the other two. Two of the groups received MM-MTA as a coronal plug material while the other two received Bio-aggregate.
Grouping was done into four experimental groups each comprised of 15 teeth based on the used coronal plug material and the use of a universal adhesive to:
group Ia
A universal adhesive was used with MM-MTA as a coronal plug material
group Ib
No universal adhesive with MM-MTA as coronal plug material.
group IIa
A universal adhesive was used with Bio-aggregate as a coronal plug material
group IIb
No universal adhesive was used with Bio-aggregate as a coronal plug material
A shade matched composite restoration was used to restore teeth and then the first post experiment color measurement was done. Teeth were then incubated in a 37ºC incubator for the rest of the study period. Color measurement was then done one, two and three months later using the same device under standardized conditions. Data was tabulated and statistical
