Abstract his study aims to determine relations between the pre-procedural N/L ratio and in-hospital morbidity and mortality in patient with acute STEMI undergoing primary PCI. One hundered patients with STEMI were included in this study. They were subjected to complete medical history, full clinical examination; laboratory investigations include (CPK, CPK-MB, neutrophil, lymphocytes, neutrophilic lymphocytic ratio, and routine laboratory investigations) at admission and follow-up during CCU admission for major adverse cardiac events. They were divided into three groups based on the N/L ratio upon admission: group 1: will include patients with N/L ratio upon admission less than 3.6. group 2: will include patients with N/L ratio upon admission between 3.6 and 6.3. group 3: will include patients with N/L ratio upon admission more than 6.3. The median value of N/L ratio was 4.9 and the lowest value 0.68, while the highest was 22.6. In our study we found that the median neutrophils of the patients was 6.2 in group I, 8.42 in group II, and 11.93 in group III. The comparative study between the three groups show a high statistically significant difference (p < 0.003). |
