Abstract Focusing on the importance of WWTPs in the transfer of plasmids among bacteria of similar and also different species, and also in a trial to find the relation between different plasmids of the same bacterial host, a plasmid from E.cloacae species isolated from WWTPs was extracted and characterized and compared to different plasmids of E.cloacae found in the GenBank in the time of this study and we cocluded that the characterized conjugative plasmid encoded genes for beta lactam and aminoglycosides resistance, genes responsible for conjugation and other genes that help in metabolism. Not only that but similarities found also between this plasmid and other E.cloacae plasmids and sharing features found between this plasmid and other plasmids found in Enterobacteriaceae members and also other Gram positive bacteria which assure the spread of conjugation in these areas. |
