Abstract

The present study dealt with the Solvation Parameters and Biological Assessment of Some Bulk and Nano-Sized Salts Interacted with Different Amino acids in Solutions. The obtained results can be summarized as follow: 1- Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) study showed the particle size of nano-sized vanadyl sulphate in the range of (9-22) nm, in the range of (10-41 nm) for nano-sized copper sulphate, in the range of (30-42 nm) for nano-sized manganese sulphate and the particle size of nano-sized zinc sulpate is in the range of (10-29) nm. 2-It was observed that the association constant increases as the temperature increases and as the proportion of ethanol increases. Also the unusual behavior of 20% (EtOH-H2O) mixed solvent have been studied in case of vanadyl sulfate. The values of Gibbs free energy of association (ΔG°A) become more negative gives an indication of the association process is spontaneous in nature.3-The results indicate that the formation constant of vanadyl, copper, manganes and zinc sulfate with H2-prol is more in general than that with H2-glycyl. 4-The results also indicated that vanadyl and zinc sulfate formed relatively stable complexes with ligand in solution with molar ratio 1:2, 1:1 [M:L] stoichiometric complexes. 5-The results showed that copper sulfate formed relatively stable complexes with ligand in solution with molar ratio 1:2, 1:1 [M:L] stoichiometric complexes in presence of proline and glycylglycine 6- The voltammogram of nano CdCl2 shows only one cathodic and one anodic peak. 7-The voltammogram of CuSO4 shows two cathodic and two anodic peaks, which indicates the oxidation process occurred by a two-step, each step contains one electron transfer, and the same occurred at the reverse scan. 8-The results displayed that all amino acids act as mononegative bidentate ligand. The electronic spectra suggested a square pyramidal geometry for vanadyl complexes and tetragonally distorted octahedral configuration for copper and manganese complexes. 9-The outcome data showed that VO(II) complex have the highest antibacterial activity compared to the free ligand and other complexes. 10-The data also showed that bulk Cu(II) complex have the highest antifungial activity followed by Zn(II) Complexes.
