Abstract

Modern Photo-Analytical Techniques for the Assessment of some chemically Important Materials in Industry
The study presented in this thesis include development and application of some analytical techniques namely spectrofluorimetry for the determination of some active Hormones (Thyroid-stimulating hormone TSH ,Testosterone)in serum and (Ciprofloxacin) in tablet and serum.
The thesis is divided into 4 chapters:
Chapter one :-
Includes a general introduction on Transition metals ,optical sensors and other methods used for determination of TSH , Testosterone and Ciprofloxacin.
Chapter two :-
Describes a new nano-optical sensor Cu(II)Pc-TSA complex doped in sol-gel matrix for assessment of TSH activity in human serum .The optimal experimental conditions of working solvent, pH and molar ratio corresponding to maximum fluorescence intensity were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the enhanced fluorescence intensity of Cu(II)Pc-TSA doped in sol gel matrix is proportional to the concentration of TSH in range (1.5-64.5 ×10-3 mU/L ), Regression coefficient (r)is 0.997 and the detection limit(LOD) is 3.11 ×10-3 mU/L
This method is used for determination of TSH in human serum.
Chapter three :-
Describes a highly selective and sensitive spectrofluorimetric method for the assessment of Testosterone hormone in serum by using HBPcVO optical sensor doped in sol-gel matrix. The optimal experimental conditions of working solvent, pH and molar ratio corresponding to maximum fluorescence intensity were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the enhanced fluorescence intensity of HBPcVO doped in sol gel matrix is proportional to the concentration of Testosterone in range (7.5 ×10−10 – 1.5 ×10−8 mol L−1) , Regression coefficient (r)is 0.997and the detection limit(LOD) is 7.2 × 10−10 mol L−1
This method is used for determination of Testosterone in human serum.
Chapter four :-
Describes a highly selective and sensitive spectrofluorimetric method for the assessment of Ciprofloxacin in serum by using Eu3+optical sensor doped in sol-gel matrix. The optimal experimental conditions of working solvent, pH and molar ratio corresponding to maximum fluorescence intensity were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the enhanced fluorescence intensity of Eu3+ doped in sol gel matrix is proportional to the concentration of Ciprofloxacin in range(5.0 x 10-9 to 1.0x10-6 mol L-1) Regression coefficient (r)is 0.999 ,and the detection limit(LOD) is 3.3x 10-9mol L−1
This method is used for determination of Ciprofloxacin in serum and tablet.
