Abstract
This study was carried out in the Chest department at Tanta University Hospitals on (40) consecutive cases of PE, recruited randomly from Tanta University Hospitals outpatient clinics and emergency rooms, starting from February 2017 to February 2018. Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: 18 years and above. 2. Patients with moderate and high pre-test propability according to Wells score (using the traditional interpretation). 3. Patients with intermediate and high pre-test propability according to Simplified Geneva Score. Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with massive pulmonary embolism. 2. Patients with low pre-test probability according to Wells Score (using the traditional interpretation). 3. Patients with low pre-test probability according to Simplified Geneva Score.
