Abstract

The current study is case-control, prospective, observational one center study, conducted at cardiology department ,Mansoura specialized hospital, on patients patient referred for diagnostic coronary angiography in ithe period fromm January 2014 to Janiary 2016, and aimed to assessment prevalence of soft tissue rheumatism among patients with non-obstructive coronary artery disease. It comprises 250 patients with mean age 53.49± 9.25(range 32years-78 years), 121 with normal CA and 129 with non obstructive CA.
Result: Non obstructive CA patients showed significant increase prevalence in positive age risk, male patients, urban patients and smoking patients and presence of increasing RF than normal CA patients (p>0.005) . Non significant changes between normal CA patients and non obstructive CA patients in prevalence of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, family history, dyslipidemia and previous MI.( p>0.054). Non significant increase in prevalence of typical chest pain among non obstructive CA patients (37.6%) than normal CA patients(63.6%) (P>0.05) Non significant changes between normal CA patients and non obstructive CA patients in prevalence of other clinical presentation (syncope , palpitation, dyspnea ) (P>0.05). Non significant changes in usage of Anti Rheumatic between normal CA patients and non obstructive CA patients (P>0.05). Non significant changes in usage of other drug (oral hypoglycemic, insulin, anti hypertensive, lipid lowering, vitamins /tonics /supplement and muscle relaxant) between normal CA patients and non obstructive CA patients (P>0.05). Significant increase prevalence in used of Anti Ischemic drugs by non obstructive CA patients (56.6%) than normal CA patients (32.2%) (p<0.005) Non significant changes in all examination parameters (pallor, pulse rate, irregular pulse (AF), systolic BP ,diastolic BP and LL edema), abdominal examination, chest examination (wheezy chest) and cardiac examination (HS, systolic murmurs, diastolic murmurs ) (P>0.05). Conclusion: STR was more prevalence in normal CA patients than patients with non obtructive CA. Shoulder region related STR more prevalence than Regional body STR. Upper body STR was more prevalence than lower body STR. Upper body STR was more prevalence among normal CA than non obstructive CA patients. STR is more prevelant among Rural inhabitance.
