Abstract

Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease composed of several biologic
subtypes with distinct behavior and variable response to therapy.Overall, bone is the most common site of metastatic disease, and the majority of patients with advanced breast cancer haveosseous metastases by the time of death. Predisposing histopathological features include lower histological grade, estrogen or progesterone receptor positivity and lymph node involvement. Morbidity is common with complications including bone pain, pathological fracture, spinal cord compression, hypercalcaemiaand bone
marrow failure. In breast cancer, most osseous metastases are osteolytic prior to treatment, although a smaller proportion of patients present with sclerotic or mixed lesions. Our study conducted upon 30 women(age 25–65 years) with main age
45 years, all patients were histopathologically proven breast cancer were included in this study. They were referred from oncology clinic to Radiodiagnosis and Medical Imaging Department at Tanta university hospitals for assessment by bone scintigraphy and FDG-PET-CT scan, during the period between august 2016 and February 2018
