Abstract Soybean, Glycine max (L.) is one of the most important legume crops all over the world. It is attacked by several insect pest species in the field, among them piercing-sucking insects. The aim of the current work was to survey the main piercing-sucking insects and the common associated predators in soybean fields and their relation to varieties, sowing dates and the prevailing weather factors in addition to effect of some compounds on the population size at the Farm of Sakha Agric. Res. Station, Kafr El-Sheikh during two successive seasons 2016 and 2017. The obtained results showed four species of piercing-sucking insects: whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Genn.); leafhoppers, Empoasca spp.; the cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glov. |
