Abstract There was significant positive correlation between urinary CypA and duration of diabetes in GII (r= +0.67, p< 0.01), GIIIa (r= +0.90, p< 0.001) and GIIIb (r= +0.97, p< 0.001) and systolic and diastolic BP in GIIIa (r= +0.71, p= 0.003) (r= +0.65, p= 0.008) respectively and in GIIIb (r= +0.83, p< 0.001) (r= +0.68, p= 0.005) respectively. While there was a highly significant negative correlation between urinary CypA and eGFR in GII (r= -0.76, p< 0.01), GIIIa (r= -0.90, p< 0.001) and GIIIb (r= -0.98, p< 0.001). There was no significant correlation between urinary CypA and age, BMI, FPG, HbA1c and lipid profile in all studied groups |
