Abstract

In our study we have compared the EVH with the conventional harvesting technique in terms of intraoperative assessment regarding the quality of the procedure and the acquired conduit and in terms of postoperative points like pain, infection, mobility, patient satisfaction and ischaemic events.
We have concluded that EVH takes significantly longer time than the conventional technique, by comparison to other studies some mentioned the same results while other argued that EVH can actually take shorter duration, however many of these results have included the time needed for wound closure in their calculations which is significantly longer in cases of conventional harvesting, it was also mentioned by some studies that the learning curve of the EVH technique has a very strong influence over the timing of the procedure.
