The management of educational learning process is to change the role of the teacher radically change and enter the adventure of partnership with the learner, a partnership is not limited to the classroom, but the experience of the learner. Therefore, the teacher learns not only from his knowledge to run this rehabilitation process, but also from every possible source of information that allows the learner to enter into the desired partnership (Gardak, 1997, p. 24).
When we encourage students to participate in activities that lead them to the discussion and ask questions and clarifications about the content of the course, we are not only working to keep the information on the subject matter better, but also to develop their thinking abilities (Myers & Jones, 1993, p. .29
Many may wonder why active learning is important for school students, institutes and universities these days? There are actually many answers to this question. The first is that today’s students are different from their predecessors and that today’s students have a greater orientation toward technology and the educational learning environment, which depends on the rapid handling of appropriate tools and tools for active learning (McCarthy & Anderson). , 1990. 45 Other factors that underlie the importance of active learning include active participation and learning, regardless of the environment in which they are located (Harasim, et al., 1997)
Active learning requires students’ intellectual efforts and provides them with the means, capabilities and tools to effectively implement effective and effective learning and change their attitudes.
In light of the enormous information explosion we are witnessing these days, this requires developing a learning method that encourages students to take responsibility in dealing with this limitless amount of knowledge, which is only successful with active learning that focuses on the principle of learning by work and promoting deep learning that helps students To understand the educational material better, and is expected to be able to explain or clarify in his own words, and ask different questions, and answers the questions of the teacher, and works hard to solve various problems after dealing effectively with them and access useful generalizations and decisions.
Some advocates of active learning add importance to the fact that the many activities that depend on this type of learning reduce negative learning activities such as negative listening, taking notes and taking notes throughout the lesson, in a way that motivates them to learn and indulge in them (Carroll & Leander, 2001). , p.33
Active learning is a way of learning to allow students to participate actively in classroom activities, so that they take them beyond the normal role of the student who writes notes to the role that takes the initiative in various activities with his colleagues during the learning process learning Within the classroom, with the role of the teacher here being to lecture less and to direct students to discover learning materials that lead to a better understanding of the curriculum. Active learning activities include a variety of techniques or teaching methods, And to ask questions at their various levels, especially the ones that come out of them, so that students are encouraged to teach themselves themselves under the supervision of their teacher. Vygotsky points out that all human beings and even young children are creative and that creativity is the basis of art, science and technology This creative ability is called imagination, and imagination is the basis of every creative work and creativity is reflected in all aspects of our cultural life, making artistic, scientific and technical creativity possible and thinking skills acquired and trained in creative activities and its importance as training Human to think independently. (Lindqvist, Gunilla.2003). ”A man who has not been trained to think independently, and who is absorbed in a ready and detailed manner, will not be able to show his talents that nature has given him. This requires us to take care of creative activity according to the data of psychology and education.” (Bishara, , 1985). Researchers and scientists have developed many definitions of thinking, distinguishing between the definition of thinking and the definition of thinking skills as: a mental process through which to know, remember, understand and accept a lot of things. He also defined thinking skills as: mental processes that use analysis, planning, And decision-making for the collection and preservation of information (HE, 39,45,2006, Jarwan, 35, 1999).
This means that thinking skills are tools that the individual arm to deal with any kind of information or future variables, the education of thinking skills is a need that is necessary for the success of the individual and the development of society, Sternberg notes the knowledge often become old despite the importance of thinking skills It remains new and through it we can acquire knowledge and deduce it regardless of time and place or types of knowledge. Creative thinking consists of several skills or abilities, as Gilford and Torrance call it, and Jarwan defines creative thinking as ”a complex and purposeful mental activity directed by a strong desire to seek solutions or to reach original products that were previously unknown” (Garwan, 1990, 82, 1990)
Research problem
The problem of the current research is the low level of female students of the Faculty of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait (specialization art education) in the use of active learning techniques in the development of creative thinking using environmental raw materials. The researcher’s research problem was confirmed by her review of previous studies in the field of research. As confirmed by a survey conducted by a group of students of the Faculty of Basic Education in Kuwait
Research goal
The current research aims at uncovering the effectiveness of the use of active learning techniques in the development of creative thinking using environmental raw materials among female students of basic education (art education) in Kuwait
Research questions
The main question of the current research is: ”How effective is the use of active learning techniques in the development of creative thinking using environmental raw materials for female students of basic education (art education) in the State of Kuwait?
The main question arises from the following question
What types of active education should be used by students of the basic education college in Kuwait
What creative thinking skills are needed for students of the Faculty of Basic Education in Kuwait
What is the appropriate environment for the development of creative thinking skills suitable for students of the Faculty of Basic Education in Kuwait
What are the most active learning strategies that will be used for his art
research importance
The current search states that
Students and students through activating their use of a modern technology in the educational process which they can use in their future teaching
Faculty members: by drawing their attention to the importance of active learning as a modern technique that can be used during the process of preparing the teacher at the university level, and also to rely on it in the development of creative students’ abilities
Responsible for the educational process: through the identification of a modern technology that can be used in the future as a teaching aid
Researchers in the field of education: by encouraging other similar research
search limits
The current search was limited to the following limits
Human Boundaries: Students of the Faculty of Basic Education (specialization of art education
Spatial boundaries: Faculty of Basic Education, Kuwait University
Time Limits: The second semester of the academic year 2016/2017Objective Limits: Active Learning Skills
Creative capabilities
Search community and eye
The current research community is represented by students of the Faculty of Basic Education, Kuwait University
Force search
The current search attempted to validate the following hypothesis
There was no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the telemetry for creative abilities
Experimental treatment
The experimental treatment was the use of active learning techniques to develop creative thinking for students of the Faculty of Basic Education, Kuwait University
Search Tool
The current search tool was
Test creative thinking
Research Methodology
The current research used both the semi-experimental approach to measure the effectiveness of the use of active learning techniques in the development of creative thinking using environmental raw materials among female students of basic education in the State of Kuwait. This is in addition to the descriptive approach to determining the shape of the learning environment, identifying the elements of the research tools, and also in the class of studies and literature related to the current research variables
Experimental Design for Research
The current research was based on experimental design with experimental and control groups where the measuring tools were applied before the two sets of research, then experimental teaching procedures were applied. Finally, the measuring tools were applied to both groups.
Search Variables
The current search will depend on the following variables
Independent variable: will be represented in active learning techniques using environmental materials
Dependent variable: creative thinking skills
Search procedures
To achieve the current research objective and validate its hypotheses, the current research is conducted according to the following procedures
See the studies and literature on active learning in general, and how to employ in the field of teaching in particular, as well as access to studies and literature on creative thinking
Preparation of the experimental treatment material and presented to a group of arbitrators to take their views
Prepare the research tool of the test of creative thinking and presented to a group of arbitrators to verify their sincerity.
Experimentation of the research tool to confirm the cycometric properties of the cycometric
Choose the search group
Apply the search tool in a tribal application
Conduct the search experiment
Apply the search tool in a remote application.
Conduct statistical processing of the results to test the validity of research
To submit recommendations and proposals according to the findings of the research
