Abstract

Silver nano-particles can destroy bacteria, viruses and fungi;
therefore, it is recommended as a disinfectant and can be used as a
drug in the treatment of some non-curable disease in livestock.
Silver nanoparticles have antibacterial properties and their use is
growing in different industries, since the toxicity of nanosilver is
not well known, it is essential to examine its safety. This study was
undertaken to evaluate the effects of nanosilver particles on liver
and kidney functions, complete blood character, cytokines, liver and
kidney tissues histopathology and some gene expression for P53,
TNF-α and caspase -3 in rat liver tissues.
