This study deals with the role of the institutions of society in the national economy. In this study, it is pointed to the historical development of civil society organizations through the ages, the reasons that led to the emergence of these institutions and the importance of civil society institutions and their spread in society. It is important to show the legal framework which organize working of these institutions not only that but negatives and positives which found in the current law(law No. 70 of 2017).
The study also reviewed the economic contributions of some civil society organizations by providing some statistics on the services they provide in all fields in order to promote the economy and work on the higher societies and progress, which has made it one of the most important elements in the comprehensive development and its ability to communicate directly with the broad grassroots and official agencies.
Hence we have presented through the study the role of civil society institutions in some countries, whether advanced or developing, which is to work on limiting and controlling the authority of the coercive state in totalitarian and dictatorial regimes and providing services to the poor directly or indirectly through the development of their skills through education and education Rehabilitation and awareness of their social and political rights as well as to clarify their role in countries under economic sanctions destroyed by wars.
We have not overlooked the most important source of funding for civil society organizations, namely, ”external financing” and the extent to which the problem of financing is closely linked to the problems of economic development, which has placed it at the forefront of international concerns. The study also reviewed the legitimate work authorized by legislator for civil society institutions, For example, that it may not engage in any act contrary to morality or public order or any political activity.
The study also pointed to the importance of the relationship between external financing and economic development, in addition to clarifying the impact of the aid provided to these institutions on the relations between donor and recipient countries. We then explained the legal procedures applied to the civil society institutions through the tax treatment, And ways of organizing the work of foreign NGOs working in Egypt.
