Abstract
The researcher discusses in the first chapter the importance of the Roller Bearings and their types and then a complete description of the problem of determining the life of the Roller Bearings and the errors found in the method of calculation (the remaining life stipulated in manufacturers’ catalogues). Then the researcher discussed in the second chapter the mechanics of the work of the Roller Bearings and the root causes leading to the collapse of the Roller Bearings and then the main failure modes of roller bearings and then the researcher discussed the review of literatures in the calculation of the remaining useful life of the roller bearings, as well as the researcher addressed the letter The prediction of the remaining useful life of roller bearing using the vibration patterns and the frequency of defects of the roller bearings. The Thesis ends with a study of a real case of a number of roller element bearings, which exceed its theoretical life stipulated in the manufacturer’s catalogue.
