Abstract The study was conducted on 340 Nile tilapia to evaluate the usefulness of the retrieved field isolates of probiotics (Pseudomonas putida, Pseudomonas fulva) by determining their in-vitro inhibitory effect against Aeromonas hydrophila. Also 90 fish were used to test the safety of the isolates. we have tested their effects on the growth performance and immune response after one and two months of the feeding experiment in comparison with a commercial probiotic Saccharomyces cerevisiae. We concluded that, the two isolates were useful to control A. hydrophila .They enhanced the fish growth performance and immune response. This was confirmed by the achieved growth, immunological and histopathological results. |
