Abstract

Aim: The aim of the present study was to asses Shear bond strength of three recent flowable composite systems (Vertise Flow, Fusio Liquid Dentin and OptiBond All-In-One) used in primary teeth
Methodology: prepared enamel surface of primary first molars were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=15).group A (vertise flow), group B(fusio liquid dentin) and group C(optibond all-in-one). ) group A and group B were sub divided into two sub groups, sub group 1received acid etchant while group 2 didn’t receive any etchant.
flowable composite was applied following the manufacture instructions.a universal testing machine was used to measure shear bond strength and data were analyzed using one way Anova and Tukey test.
Results: the result of this study revealed significant difference between Vertise Flow with etchant (37.00±1.54),Vertise Flow without etchant (31.90±3.36)and Fusio Liquid Dentin without etchant (19.08±0.03) at (p≤0.001),there was no significant difference between OptiBond All-In-One (28.24±4.06) and Fusio Liquid Dentin with etchant (27.12±4.12).
Conclusion: A preliminary etching step with phosphoric acid for 15sec enhances the bonding strength of both Vertise Flow and Fusio Liquid Dentin.
