The progress of the society and its development because the interest in childhood is in fact an interest in the future of the whole nation because today’s children are the men of tomorrow who carry the banner of the progress of societyThe problem of orphan hood is one of the difficult events experienced by young children, which affect the course of their growth and development, and their outlook on themselves, life and the future; and make them suffer from psychological problems and many concerns and their mental and emotional development sometimes at risk, and suffer from neurological imbalances and sometimes find them can,t afford to lose, And the absence of father or mother because of death affects the achievement of the growth demands of the child properly, which affects the levels of physical growth, psychological and social impact negatively and the family has a T the first and basic socialization of the children and provide them with a balanced personality realism adapted healthy, psychological and social institutions that is not a replacement for them. With the increasing number of those deprived of family care and whose families have been unable to care for them, social institutions have been established, the remaining place for the care of children who have not been covered by family care, but are trying to compensate them for some of their children’s needs.
Social work is one of the professions that is concerned with the social construction of society, the family, the human being and its environment and has a positive influence on the change that society seeks in both the individual and his environment. The way of serving the community as a way of social service can help the groups to face the problems of their lives and make a positive change in their personality In helping the individual to consider his or her realistic view of others and the world around him, accept his own true acceptance and help him to achieve himself and respect the privacy of others and enjoy life and the formation of social relations saturated with others which helps in the end to form a concept And to work to modify the idea of poor relations and alleviate these fundamental social problems that correspond to theorphan childThe profession of social service is a human profession that deals with man in various stages of his development, especially in the youth stage where the field of caring for orphans is an important field for the practice of social service. Therefore, it must contribute in its different ways besides other disciplines in the need to deal with social changes and social problems To achieve developmental, preventive and curative objectives . Social work considers the family as a unit in itself and not as individuals. Its purpose is to strengthen its social and psychological structure as a whole and to achieve the highest degree of harmony, harmony and harmony. The family as a social structure can,t be seen only as a group of individuals occupying a certain place within the family, The interactions are carried out within the framework of many roles and rules governing this interaction, and there is a structure of the forces that control these interactions in addition to the different methods used by this format in solving its problems in a way that achieves balance and family cohesion and make this format function effectively.
The study of the social problems of orphans is an important topic in the social work, so this study will focus on developing the professional skills of social workers to deal with the social problems of orphans, which helps social workers with the knowledge, experience and skills to provide solutions to the social problems of orphans.
Second: The importance of the study:
1-The State’s interest in its legislation and its various institutions in the care of children in general and the care of orphaned children in particular and in working to find appropriate solutions to the problems facing them in their lives in a way that helps them to be good for themselves and their society.
2-The issues of childhood and its problems are ranked at the local and international level because of the importance of this age stage in which the cognitive, psychological, social and physical aspects are formed. Children are the future of nations and the mirror of society.
3-The importance of the study that it is one of the studies that deal with the problems of children, which has increased attention to them, especially those deprived of normal family care.
4-The importance of the role played by the social service with the orphans. The profession of social service is distinguished from other social sciences through its professional intervention in dealing with the various problems facing the humanitarian units, where the philosophy of social service is to enable the vulnerable group orphans who are deprived of family care , And to give them more security and social equality by developing the skills of social workers to deal with the social problems of orphans. 5-The importance of practicing community service with orphans through developing the skills of social workers to deal with the social problems of orphans. , And to help them to activate their abilities, through the participation of social workers practicing their professional roles with the orphans through the activities of various programs which are considered as a means to achieve these goals. Third: Study Objectives : This study aims to achieve the following main objective*
”Defining a proposed program from a community service perspective to develop the skills of social workers to deal with the social problems of orphans ”. The following sub-objectives are derived from this objective: identify the social problems suffered by orphans.2-Identify the skills used by the social worker when dealing with the social problems of orphans. 3-Identify the difficulties that hinder the development of the skills of socialworkers to deal with the social problems of orphans.
