Abstract This study was conducted on 30 patients with sub-axial cervical fracture dislocation in Alexandria University Hospitals during the period 2015-2018. All patients were followed up for a period of at least 6 months. We had 25 males and 5 females in our study with mean age of 30 years (range between 22-55 years). Nineteen suffered an RTA, six patients had an incident of falling from height and five patients suffered due to diving activities. All patients were thoroughly examined clinically. All patients had radiological assessment. Spinal cord injury grading was done using the (ASIA) score. Fourteen patients had fracture dislocation at C6-C7 level, 12 patients had fracture dislocation at C5-C6 level, three patients had fracture dislocation at C4-C5 level and one patient had fracture dislocation at C3-C4 level. Surgery was done after 2-90 days following trauma. |
