Abstract

Sprouts are forming from seeds during sprouting. The sprouts are outstanding sources of protein, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids are of the most importance as these are the most useful in the respect of the human health.
The link between nutrition and schizophrenia has been documented for the first-time decades ago. But only in the recent years has there been a growing interest in a more thorough research regarding the role of nutrition in the development of this debilitating disease. Vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids are the main categories of nutrients intensively studied in the recent years in connection with schizophrenia. These deficiencies could be of utmost importance in the development of this mental illness.
The role of nutrition in schizophrenia is still to be determined by the results of larger and more complex research that takes into account the great amount of interactions between genetic, environmental, and nutritional risk factors. Although it is difficult to distinguish their effects, there is now strong evidence supporting the benefits of adequate nutrition in schizophrenia patients.
So, the present study was designed to effect utilization some nutritional supplement including germinated fenugreek seeds, germinated broad beans seeds, soaked lupin seeds, germinated wheat seeds and germinated chickpea seeds on improvement symptoms of schizophrenia patients.
Subjects were selected randomly from mental health hospital in Shebin El-Kom, the General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction, Ministry of Mental Health and Population, Egypt, period of study started from the first of January 2017 to the end of July 2018.Selected patients were diagnosed by DSM V (2014) in mental health hospital at Shebin El-Kom. 100 patients with schizophrenia age between (30- 55) Y and divided into four groups:
