Abstract

The age of animals ranged from 2 months to 12 months. All lambs originated from private farms in sohage governorate based on clinical and fecal analysis, all animals were divided into two groups. fecal analysis of these animals showed huge numbers of Eimeria oocysts. Results of biochemical and hematological analysis of the present study revealed significant decrease in RBCs count, Hb content, PCV; increase in WBCs count, neutrophils, monocytes and eosinophils percent and decrease in lymphocytes percent. There was a decrement in iron and copper level in all diseased groups in comparison with control one. There was a significant there was a significant increase in ALT, AST, ALP and GGT in all diseased groups when compared to healthy control one.
There was a decrement in serum total protein and albumin level in all diseased groups when compared to healthy control one. There was an increment in serum urea and creatinine level in all diseased groups when compared to healthy control one The treatment trails revealed the high efficacy of both amprolium 20% and sulfadimadine 33⅓ % in treatment of coccidiosis in lambs.
