Abstract

Potassium and zinc are very important for plants. For this purpose, the experiment was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University during the summer of 2015 to study the effect of adding potassium and zinc to the maize plant. The treatments of Zn were Zn0(control), zinc-EDTA as soil application 10 kg/fed (Zn1), zinc-EDTA as foliar application 0.75 g/L (Zn2), zinc sulphate as soil application 25 kg/fed (Zn3), zinc sulphate as foliar application 0.75 g/L (Zn4). The treatments of K were 0 potassium (K0), 24 Kg K2O potassium (K24), 48 Kg K2O (K48) and 72 Kg K2O (K72).The results showed that corn fertilization at different rates of potassium and zinc in different ways and levels increased in the growth parameters such as plant height, height of the flag leaf and fresh weight in the caloric phase as well as the leaf of science, the potassium and zinc fertilization coefficients increased the yield as well as the components of the weight of the cone, number of grains on cone, potassium and zinc fertilization at different rates and their addition in the form of soil fertilization of potassium and ground and zinc larvae increased the content of the nitrogen and potassium elements of the corn plants. These fertilizer treatments resulted in phosphorus deficiency in the leaves of the maize plants in the three stages of growth The soil content of zinc, potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus facilitated by fertilization applied in the experiment. After the harvest of the corn.Aim of the work :Potassium has an important role for the seed as it improves the quality of grains and helps in the rapid transfer of elements from the leaves to the storage area (grain) Zinc has a major role in the formation of chlorophyll and in the process of photosynthesis and the lack of stress on the plant clearly. Thus, the addition of potassium and zinc to the plant at appropriate rates leads to increased yield from it.Conclusion:The best potassium treatment was adding potassium sulphate at the rate of 72 kg K2O fed-1 as that treatment led to an increase in the percentage of grain production for the recommendation of the Ministry of Agriculture 9.05%.The best zinc treatments when adding zinc EDTA as foliar application on the plant at the rate of 0.75 g L-1, which led to an increase in the proportion of grain production by 19.3%. Looking at the interaction between the zinc and potassium treatments, the best treatment of zinc sulfate as foliar application at rate of 0.75 g L-1 and the addition of potassium sulphate at rate of 72 kg fed-1 increasing the percentage of grain production by 45.5%.
