Abstract
Emergency bedside ultrasonography is used in a wide spectrum
of situations, such as procedure guidance, determination of cardiac
activity, evaluation of pericardial effusion,assessing fluid
responsiveness and hypotension, deep vein thrombosis ,and
thoracoabdominal trauma. Useful information can be obtained even
from air containing organs such as lungs, which do not conduct
ultrasound waves.
