Abstract Introduction: Distal end radial fracture is common specially in females, it need reduction and manipulation due to the pain, for that there are many methods of anesthesia like general anesthesia, Beir block and hematoma block used to save the patient from complications of general anesthesia and to reduce the time consuming to patient and minimize the patient sensation with pain. Aim of the work: A prospective study to assessment the effectiveness and safety of hematoma block in providing painless maneuver for closed reduction of the distal end radial fracture. Patients: Inclusion criteria: • Simple, closed and minimally displaced distal end radial fracture in skeletally mature patients. Exclusion criteria: • Patients with coagulation disorders. • History of allergy to local anesthesia. • Patients with open distal end radius fracture. • Poly traumatic patients cannot be weighted. • Sever displaced distal radial fracture. • Patients refusing the maneuver after being explained. Methods: Pre-procedure Assessment: Including clinical assessment of the paaient by taking history and examination of the patient then radiological assessment by plain X ray and assessment of the patient pain according to numerical rating scale. : Critical Care Nurses, Critically Ill Patients, Fluid and Electrolyte Balance, Standard of Nursing |
