Abstract

A World Health Organization (WHO) study has shown that
diabetes is a serious, chronic disease that occurs either when the pancreas
does not produce enough insulin (a hormone that regulates blood sugar,
or glucose), or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it
produces. Diabetes is an important public health problem. Both the
number of cases and the prevalence of diabetes have been steadily
increasing over the past few decades.
Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by
hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action,
or both. The chronic hyperglycemia of diabetes is associated with longterm
damage, dysfunction, and failure of different organs, especially the
eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart, and blood vessels. Several pathogenic
processes are involved in the development of diabetes.
Therefore, using the juice fruits and peels powder of papaya and
avocado lowering blood sugar level
Papaya is a good source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. The fiber
content of papaya varies according to ripening stage, cultivar, and
determination method. Inclusion of fiber in the diet improves digestion
and provides several health benefits such as reduced risk of
cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and colon cancer.
Administration of avocado peel powder positive effect in reducing
the blood glucose level by antioxidant play a main role in reducing the
blood glucose The similar result was reported that the antioxidants have
been shown to prevent the destruction of pancreatic β cells by inhibiting
the peroxidation chain reaction and thus may provide protection against
the development of diabetes. Moreover, the fibers of plants may also
interfere in the absorption of carbohydrates
