Abstract Assessment in art education is based on some criteria which are taken by some experts and neglected by the others. As the psychological state of the expert may become an influential factor in evaluation process and with different perspectives, multiple opinions generate. Two subjects in art education were employed in this study; one of them is drawing which depends on colors element and the other is designing that depends on image texture. The proposed system involves three phases: the first phase was the image acquisition. In this phase, two answer sheets for two subjects were designed to facilitate the student evaluation. The answer sheets images were taken to be evaluated by digital scanner. The second phase was the image feature extraction and in this phase image features were extracted by two methods, the first one is the color moments for the colored images and the second is the grey level co-occurrence matrix for the grey scale images. The third phase was to find the similarity between the reference image and the student image using the euclidean distance and display the student degree at the end. |
