Abstract Objectives: There is no atlas for haematological and biochemical parameters of fish as for different terrestrial animals. So, the present study aimed to throw lights on some factors (genetic, environmental, nutritional, husbandry, infectious,… ) affecting blood composition and its profile in different fish species, sex, size, nutrition, stresses, starvation, water salinity, aquaculture systems, anesthesia, probiotics, etc. Methods & Results: Haematological and biochemical parameters were determined and calculated in a private clinical lab. in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate to study the effect of some factors (Nutritional treatments and Environmental and genetic factors) on fish blood composition. Conclusion: The obtained results confirmed that all studied variables had been affected most parameters measured in the haematological and/or biochemical examinations of the fish blood. Therefore, the interpretation of any fish blood data must be discussed under the same individual experimental condition and never on light of other studies’ conditions because of blood picture is affected by many factors; hence, there are no stable values or referenced ranges for fish blood components. |
