We determined the range of parity in the study group and the control group. The majority (53.3%) of the study group had no parity; also (60%) of the control group had any parity. There was none statistically significant difference between the study group and control group according to parity.

In the present study, there was none statistically significant difference between the study group and control group according to temperature; pulse; blood urea; serum creatinine; HB and liver enzymes.
We found statistically significant difference between the study group and control group according to podocalyxin (p= 0.001); the mean podocalyxin was 3340.0 ± 2394.6 in the study group and 1083.5 ± 1400.2 in the control group.
Our results showed statistically significant difference between the study group and control group according to fetal Apgar score; fetal weight; fetal respiratory distress; HTN. While there was none statistically significant difference between the study group and control group according to fetal jaundice; post partum hemorrhage; urine output; mode of termination and blood loss amount.
According to postpartum hysterectomy; (100 %) of the study group had no post partum hysterectomy, (100%) of the control group had no post partum hysterectomy.
Our results showed statistically significant difference between the study group and control group regarding GFR. There was none significant relation between GFR and podocalyxin. Podocalyxin was not correlated with laboratory investigations.
In the current study, there was statistically significant difference between the study group and control group regarding uric acid. There was none significant relation between uric acid and podocalyxin.
