Abstract Objectives: Study the effect of potassium fertilization and foliar spray with some macro and microelements on the productivity and quality of potato crop and storage for long time. Methods The experiment layout was split plot system in a randomized complete block design with three replicates. Potassium levels occupied the main plots which were subdivided to 4 sub plots each contained one of the foliar spray of macro and microelements rates. Each experiment included 12 treatments which were 3 levels of potassium (96, 72, 48 kg K2O/fed) and 4 rates of foliar spray macro microelements (control, 2, 4, 6 g/L.). Results:The highest productivity and quality of potato plant as well as tuber with high storage capacity were obtained when using fertilize the potato plants with the potassium sulphate compound (48%) with levels of (96 kg/fed) and spraying with some macro and microelements at levels of (6 g/l). Conclusion: According to the results obtained from this study, it is recommended to fertilize the potato plants with the potassium sulphate compound (48%) with levels of (96 kg/fed) and spraying with some macro and microelements at levels of (6 g/l) in order to obtain high quality yield, high productivity, large sizes of tubers and storage for long times. Therefore, attention should be given to many applied experiments in order to increase potato yield and increase quality and storage for long times. |
