The aim of the study was to identify, monitor and interpret Omani public attitudes towards Omani e-government and to identify the role of social networking sites in the transformation of traditional Omani government into e-government. This study belongs to the descriptive studies that used the descriptive and analytical method of the media survey using quantitative tools and quantitative tools using the questionnaire form, which is consistent with the theoretical approach related to the entrance of the uses and the bubbles. The main objectives of the study are as follows: 1- Building a detailed outline of e - government in the Sultanate of Oman and know the extent to which the use of means of social communication and new media in the definition of the concept of e - government and raise awareness in the internal and external community.
2. Evaluating the e-government in the Sultanate by reviewing its application in some government agencies. 3- Searching for the clarity of the concepts of e-government officials and employees of government departments applied to the plan. 4- Identify the availability of e-government application requirements in government agencies in the Sultanate of Oman.
5 -Identify the obstacles that accompanied the implementation of the transformation of e-government in the Sultanate. 6- Provide appropriate recommendations and suggestions on the importance of continuing e-government applications. The study was divided into five chapters besides the introduction to the study and the conclusion of the study. The first chapter dealt with the methodological framework of the study, a review of the problem of the study, its objectives and its questions. It also presented the most important previous studies that are directly and indirectly related to the subject of the study. The theoretical framework of the study is the introduction of uses and innovations, while the third chapter deals with the electronic government and the reality of Arab countries for electronic transformation, while the fourth chapter dealt with the electronic government and the reality of Arab countries for transformation For electronic, The fifth chapter deals with the results of the field study and test the validity of hypotheses, and finally the most important conclusion of the study and recommendations, references and extension study.
