Abstract

In wireless mobile communication, the scheduling process plays a vital role in long term evolution Advanced (LTE-A) Networks especially in Heterogeneous Networks (HetNet).The effective selection of the used scheduling algorithm enhances the overall system performance and distinguishes the performance of a system from the other.Different scheduling algorithms have been developed in downlink LTE network system which aims to enhance the throughput and spectral efficiency of the network. Proportional fair(PF)scheduling algorithm is one of the most popular scheduling algorithms that is used to make allocation of the users in the network with an effective way that guarantee high throughput and fairness in distributing the resource blocks.
