Abstract Fenugreek seeds (Trigonella foenum graecum) is one of the oldest medicinal plants dating back to Hippoocrats and ancient Egyptian times. The objective of the present study was ameliorate the toxic effect of cypermethrin pesticide on the new model for type 2 diabetic rat combining with high-fat diet (HFD) injected with low dose of streptozotocin (35mg/kg) and investgate the influences of cypermethrin as a pesticide toxicity which treated by fenugreek soaked seeds, etiolated sprouts (3 days old) and microgreen (10 days old) semimodified diet (SMD) on experimental rats. The rats were divided into 10 groups,G1 normal health control rats fed on control diet,G2 HFD/STZ rats fed on HFD diet,G3 HFD/STZ treated by soaked seeds semi-modified diet,G4 HFD/STZ treated by etiolated sprouts semimodified diet, G5 HFD/STZ treated by microgreen semi-modified diet,G6 Fed on standard diet, served as pesticide ( cypermethrin CM) intoxicated control which ingested by 1/10 of LD50 of the pesticide,G7 HFD/STZ intoxicated cypermethrin (CM) (diseased/intoxicated control), G8 HFD/STZ intoxicated cypermethrin (CM) treated by soaked seeds diets,G9 HFD/STZ intoxicated cypermethrin( CM) treated by etiolated sprouts diets,G10 HFD/STZ intoxicated cypermethrin (CM) treated by microgreen diets. Diabetes was induced by streptozotocin (STZ) injection (35 mg/kg body weight). The obtained reults indicated that high fat feeding in combination with a low doses of STZ treated cypermthrin ingestion increased |
