Abstract Prepartion of 12 monoester from esterfication of dibasicacids (malonic,succinic and adipic acids) with different alcohols(amyl ,hexanol,2-ethyl hexanol and octanol) by using new catalyst (ambrylst 15). Tewnty Four complex esters were prepared via reaction of prepared 12 monoesters with neopentylglycol or trimethylol propane individually .The chemical structure was studied for the prepared esters using FTIR,1HNMR,TGA and TAN. The complex esters were evaluated as synthetic lubricating oils by measuring the viscosity index (VI) ,pour point(PP), the flash point (FP) and their dynamic flow properties .The TGA was used to study the thermal stability of the prepared complex esters ,the data evidenced that these esters are thermally stable at the measured working temperature.The rhological properties were investigated for the complex esters and the data obtained evidenced that they are obeying Newtonian fluids behavior .The prepared mono esters were evaluated via term of viscosity index ,flash point and pour point. The obtained results did not match with the expected data , but the obtained results for the corresponding prepared complex esters were greatly enhancing these parameters (VI,PP and FP), consequently enhancing their lubricity . |
