Abstract

Introduction: T-Cell lymphomas are uncommon malignancies that represent approximately 10-15% of all lymphomas. Tumors of mature T-Cell origin are often referred to collectively as PTCLs and are broadly separated into those with predominantly leukemic, extranodal or nodal presentation. Peripheral T- and NK-Cell lymphoma is quite heterogeneous originating from post-thymic T-lymphocytes and NK-cells. T-Cell lymphomas, as a group, carry a poorer prognosis compared to their B cell counterpart. The aim of work: Primary objective:Study of Incidence and Prevalence of T-Cell lymphoma.Secondary objectives:Study of Response rate of different histological subtypes, Overall survival, Disease free survival, Relapse rate and Death rate.Research Plan: The study included patients with NHLs attended to the Oncology Center Mansoura University (OCMU) between January 1, 2014 and October 31, 2018. The diagnosis of lymphoma was established according to the 2008 World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumors of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues. Cases diagnosed as T-Cell lymphomas are analyzed retrospectively. Results: There were 1015 patients with NHL, 75 of them (7%) with T-Cell lymphoma, attended Oncology Centre Mansoura University in period between January 1, 2014 and October 31, 2018, the commonest subtype was ALCL with male predominance in all types except MF. PTCL carry poor prognosis. Conclusion: T-Cell lymphoma is a rare malignancy with different subtypes and carries a poor prognosis.
