Abstract Every country has its own unique culture. which is different from others. This makes an incentive to know how different cultures are. Culture of Egypt and Japan Are different. They represent a challenge for designers to integrate both cultures in innovative fashionable designs. [f we take processes and cultural differences that writing has lived during having a calligraphic formation, it is possible to separate calligraphy as East and West calligraphy. Each of these types of calligraphy is expressed in modern fashion with its own purpose. The calligraphy are used in different ways in terms of style, character and direction according to the origin of each method, on this basis, calligraphy are used in cases of integration between them to integrate two types of cultures of different origins to create a new vision for creative designs and formations, here lies the study importance in the heritage revival for both countries, Egypt and Japan, and to benefit from the heritage of the Arabic and Japanese calligraphy and costumes. The present study aims to explore the characteristics of Sinai dress (Gelbab) and Japanese Kimono. and create fashion designs for women at the age group (25-40 years) inspired by both. As a result. Historical study of Sinai and Japanese costumes and Calligraphy are useful to create fashion designs for women. It reflects the characteristics of both costumes and integrating the cultures of both countries. The present study creates a new method to design outfits for women, which ret1ects the Egyptian and Japanese cultures by using the intersection areas that results from overlaying the technical drawings of both Sinai dress (Gelbab) and kimono as a source of inspiration of proposed designs. And also this study aims to observe the similarities and differences between the both types of calligraphy (Diwani& Kanji). Calligraphy is used as an expression of formativeness has the function of shaping expressions as motives or patterns. avoiding meanings of words or phrases. As a result. Calligraphy formations were created while retaining the entity of calligraphy and using the technique of art to integrate them this resulted in a set of calligraphy formations that integrate the cultures of both countries in a simple technique that expresses the beauty and the validity of both cultures. |
