Abstract This research was carried out to study the clinical and radiographical effect of cantilever length of implant supported fixed-detachable partial denture for cases with mandibular class II Kennedy’s classification.Ten patients with the 1st premolar as the last standing tooth were selected from Prosthodontic Outpatient Clinic, Faculty of Dentistry. Tanta University. Their age ranging from 25-55 years The bone height of the alveolar ridge in the edentulous area was not less than 10 mm above the inferior alveolar nerve canal and the bucco-lingual width of the alveolar ridge at the prospective implant site was not less than 7 mm. The opposing arch was almost dentulous. Patients with history of radiation therapy in the head and neck region, severe clenching or bruxism,heavy smokers and neurological or psychiatric handicapped patients that could interfere with good oral hygiene were excluded.
