This study sought to know the role of social networks in developing security awareness among Egyptian youth. This study is one of the descriptive studies and researches aimed at describing situations, phenomena or events and collecting accurate facts about them in order to accurately identify the phenomenon, situation or event and draw an integrated picture of it that is realistic or accurate. This quantitative approach was used in content analysis studies, The following pages were selected for conducting the analytical study (the official page of the Ministry of Interior - the official page of the military spokesman of the armed forces, and the time period between January 2018 to July 2019 is set to be 18 months. The study was applied to a deliberate sample of young people consisting of 400 singles, and was divided into three groups according to age between (20-25, 25-30, 30-35) based on the divisions of open growth psychology. The main objectives of the study were as follows: The main objective of this study is to identify the role of social networks in shaping security awareness among Egyptian youth. 1. Identify the motives of the exposure of Egyptian youth sample study to social networks 2. Revealing the concerns of the Egyptian youth towards the events and security issues in the Egyptian society 3. Identify the extent of Egyptian youth’s knowledge of security information through exposure to social networks 4. Identify the possibility of relying on social networks to shape awareness and attitudes of youth towards Egyptian security 5. Studying the effect of the demographic factors of the Egyptian youth represented in (place of residence - age group - gender - social level - job) in their use of social networks. 6. Identify the most prominent social networks used and influenced by the Egyptian youth.
