Abstract

Two field experiments were carried out during the two successive winter seasons of 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 in a private green house at Damalo village, Qalubia governorate. It was supported by Unite for Developing Vegetable Seed Quality “UDVSQ”, and financed by the National Campaign for Vegetable Seed Production ”NCVBSP”, at National Research Centre. in clay soil, to study the response of snap bean cv. Moraleda to different levels and sources of NPK and/or different sources of phosphorus application on vegetative growth, chemical composition, productivity and quality of snap bean.
The first experiment showed the effect of soil addition of three mineral fertilizer levels and foliar spray with two different sources of NPK. This experiment included 9 treatments resulted from the interaction between three nitrogen levels (100,80 and 60% of the recommended dose)](35.8g N per m2 (as ammonium nitrate; 33.5%), 8 ml per m2 (as phosphoric acid; 56%) and 16.8 g K per m2 (as potassium sulphate, 48%[ of NPK as soil application and foliar spray with two different sources of NPK applications i.e (NPK in 20:20:20 as traditional form and NPK as nano form) and without spray treatment as control. Obtained results showed that, fertilized snap bean plants with 100 or 80% of recommended NPK dose as soil application combined with spraying plants with nano NPK at 2ml/l for each element reflected the highest values in all studied vegetative growth characters, chemical constituents of plant foliage, pod yield and its components as well as physical and chemical pod quality.The second experiment showed the effect of P-sources (calcium super phosphate, rock phosphate and phosphoric acid) with or without inoculation of P-dissolving bacteria
