Abstract Critical care units are a dynamic and highly technological environment. Staff nurses who have been working in these units for a period of time are faces many problems that affect negatively on them and lead them to leaves their work such as lack of supervisor support, in adequate growth opportunity , negative organization culture and work load. Staff nurses’ turnover can cause substantial threats to patient safety culture of them and also effect on the hospital at all (Kathy, 2016) Patient safety culture reflects staff values and behaviors, also give bases for excellent practices and activities influenced by administrators, managers and care giver. Promoting patient safety culture is very important area in health care and more attention has been given to factors that affect positively on patient safety culture such as trust, stress recognition, improve staffing, improve communication and good management perception (Barbber., et al) . The present study was aimed to assess contributing factors of staff nurses’ turnover and its effect on their patient safety culture through assessing contributing factors of staff nurses’ turn over, assessing the difference between nurse’s awareness regard patient safety culture at Benha University Hospital and El-Menshawy General Hospital, investigation the relationship between contributing factors of staff nurses turnover and their patient safety culture |
