Abstract
This study was conducted on 30 patients admitted to Tanta University Hospital presented clinically with neck swellings. The age of studied patients ranged between four days to seventy years old. The study included eleven males and nineteen females. Twenty seven patients presented with neck swelling, nine patients presented with fever, six patients presented with weight loss, four patients presented with dysphagia & two patients presented with pain. All patients were examined by multidetector CT. Based on MDCT examination findings and pathplogical results in the present study, 7 cases of benign Cervical lymphadenopathy, 3 cases of lymphoma, 1 case of metastatic necrotizing lymphadenopathy secondary to postcricoid squamous cell carcinoma,1case of lymph node abscess, 1 case of Branchial cleft cyst 7 cases of deep neck abscess, 1 case of Parotid adenoma,1 case of follicular thyroid carcinoma,1 case of thyroid lymphoma, 2cases of nodular goiter, 1 case of Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma,1 case of cystic lymphangioma, 1 case of thyroglossal duct cyst ,1 case of cervical schwannoma and 1 case of teratoma.
